Young Arts

We again held our Art Competition for Year 12 students at Hitchin Girls School. 9 works were entered, all, as ever of a very high standard, some quite intriguing. Maisie Brewster’s Self Portrait as a Fauve was a very deserving 1st prize winner.

Church Recorders

The Church Recorders are currently undertaking work at St Mary's Church, Henlow, Bedfordshire. Any North Hertfordshire members who might be interested in joining us for this project should get in touch with the Group Leader, Valerie Pennifer at a lecture meeting.

Heritage Volunteers

Heritage Volunteers are continuing work at Letchworth Garden City Museum cataloguing and cleaning Architect Hugh Bidwell’s Collection.

Heritage volunteer quilters have been busy with their Creative Quilt which takes its inspiration from a smaller quilt in the headmaster's house at the British Schools Museum
