ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The 2018 AGM will take place at 12.45pm on Thursday 1st February 2018 for both morning and afternoon Members∑

 

LECTURES - 2017/18

Lectures are held at the Spirella Ballroom, Bridge Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 4ET on the 1st Thursday of the month. Morning lectures start at 11.00am, afternoon lectures start at 2.00pm.

Visitors are welcome at £7.00 per lecture (which is refundable if they decide to join on the day).

Coffee/tea will be available from 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Our well illustrated lectures are delivered by highly qualified lecturers who both inform and entertain their audience.

Young Arts

We again held our Art Competition for Year 12 students at Hitchin Girls School. 9 works were entered, all, as ever of a very high standard, some quite intriguing. Maisie Brewster’s Self Portrait as a Fauve was a very deserving 1st prize winner.

Church Recorders

The Church Recorders are currently undertaking work at St Mary's Church, Henlow, Bedfordshire. Any North Hertfordshire members who might be interested in joining us for this project should get in touch with the Group Leader, Valerie Pennifer at a lecture meeting.

Heritage Volunteers

Heritage Volunteers are continuing work at Letchworth Garden City Museum cataloguing and cleaning Architect Hugh Bidwell’s Collection.

Heritage volunteer quilters have been busy with their Creative Quilt which takes its inspiration from a smaller quilt in the headmaster's house at the British Schools Museum
